Description:

The watch features a box sapphire crystal that outwardly resembles the original plexiglass crystal. It is powered by a Ronda R 150 or equivalent movement, a sophisticated 25-jewel automatic mechanism with a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz). This precision-crafted powerhouse boasts a substantial 38-hour power reserve, ensuring enduring performance. It is equipped with hacking and hand-winding capabilities, exemplifying both efficiency and convenience.

The watch uses Luminova for its luminous paint, unlike the Tritium used in the 1950s. The main advantage of Luminova is that it does not deteriorate with age and is non-radioactive. This variant features luminous paint that mimics the appearance of the original 1950s models.

The watch measures 39mm in diameter and comes with a high-quality calf leather strap and a presentation box.

The History of Aeschbach Watches

Aeschbach was a leading WWII manufacturer known for producing watches for the Wehrmacht, Kriegsmarine, and Luftwaffe. Founded in 1923, Aeschbach faced significant challenges during the war, particularly due to their location in Pforzheim, a southwestern German town that was heavily bombed. The most devastating raid by the Royal Air Force (RAF) occurred on February 23, 1945, resulting in the destruction of 83% of Pforzheim’s buildings, including the Aeschbach workshops.

Despite this, the company was revived when a family member discovered many original technical drawings and a quantity of watches while sorting through an elderly relative's belongings. This find enabled the plan to restart the company, marking the return of Aeschbach watches.
